Occupying
96 of the 171 acres forming this moderately hilly site, the course designed
by Jean Garaialde is accessible to players of all levels. Provence Country
Club's golf course is not an extravagant course but it does feature numerous
doglegs, and it requires well adjusted drives to benefit from good openings
onto the green. However the dish shaped fairways bordered by hillocks can
also help lengths and gives players an excellent opportunity to use all
their clubs. On this natural well sheltered site, the majority of shots are
slightly sloping and the greens are renowned as technical.
The "Canal de Carpentras", which separates the golf course in two, provides
all of the sites water. Several ponds inhabited by carps, decorate the
course, but their side location will not stress golfers unduly. The 360°
panoramic view gives onto the forest and chalky slopes of "Monts de Vaucluse"
to the north and east and Cavaillion plain to the south.
