History
A quadruple chestnut trees alley leads to a small "folie" Louis XV. The first
medieval castle was destroyed in 1750 by a fire. Jean-Baptiste Chabert rebuilt
the present castle with a particular method in order to protect it against a
similar disaster. The wood frame has been replaced with "catalan vaults" and
stonework arches.
A 16 hectares enclosed park surrounds the castle. It includes several XVIIIth
century "fabriques", an hermitage, an obelisk, a rustic cave, a tower, which
remind the old castle. In the park there was a farm which today has disappeared.
Weddings & Receptions
A park "à la watteau", ponds in the middle of woods surround the pheasantry of
the Château. It offers both the frame of grandeur and elegance of these
authentic "folies" Louis XV and the country spell of a pheasantry opening on an
inside courtyard with its patio and its well. For your reception, wedding or
seminar, we invite you to discover these adjoining rooms with a surface area of
240 square metres.
