Weddings &
Receptions
The chateau grounds with their vast lawns and spreading cedar trees are the
perfect setting for a country wedding or outdoor reception. Inside the
interconnecting reception rooms with their gold leaf embossed ceilings are the
ideal venue for that special occasion (wedding, cocktail party, birthday party,
study day).
Without serious organisation, a wedding can be an exhausting experience for the
happy couple. But booking a functional venue doesn't guarantee a cheerful,
elegant or magical atmosphere. The guests all look forward to a special
occasion: the setting is probably as important as the quality of the fare
prepared by the caterer.
A castle sets the scene of the reception.... especially if it isn't either too
crushing nor too imposing. Built according to the rules of Renaissance art, our
residence opens on to the grounds, the lounges with luminous parquet floors and
romantic ceilings (and not too imposing) are bathed in sunlight. The corridors
paved with ornate mosaics allow the guests to relax and enjoy themselves while
they wait for the bal.
Wedding reception in the Castle: The shaded lawns and exotic flowers allow
for lively conversations around cocktails or buffets...Finally, opening the
wedding party in a charming ball-room decorated with smiling goddess faces, will
surely leave the bride a memory worth keeping. 0f course, the dream needs to be
backed up by practical details. That's why, we are ready, on request, to take
charge of the complete organisation of your reception or simply to be on hand to
help.
Wedding in the garden of the Castle: The capacity of the three reception rooms,
plus the 17th century mosaic hall:150 for a cocktail party or 120 seated.
Outside the lawns and main courtyard can accommodate 500 guests. Our wedding
present to you: Bouquets of flowers and greenery from the garden, a room for the
children, garden furniture, outbuildings for the caterers and help in choosing
and installing the various services.
Optional:
Illumination of the front of the chateau, extra day, overnight stay with
breakfast.
