Description
Due to Jean de Joyeuse, first Governor of Narbonne and Lieutenant General in
Languedoc, the Château was built between 1540 and 1550. His son, Guillaume III
assumes the rest of the work of this wonderful monument, which survived a siege
in 1577, during religious wars between Protestants and Catholics. It combines
the medieval character of the bedrooms and junior suites with the modern comfort
of the fully renovated bathrooms splendidly.
