Description
Lying about 15 miles away from Bordeaux, on the way to St Emilion, the château,
set in listed grounds of outstanding beauty, the Dordogne flowing by, is one of
the most prestigious historic buildings of the Aquitaine region. The 13th
century has left its mark. The Renaissance buildings were created by Louis de
Foix (an ornate façade, the main courtyard).
In the 17th century was commissioned the building of a prodigious double stone
staircase which coil down to the formal gardens.
