Recently
renovated the property offers extremely comfortable and flexible accommodation
close to the Canal du Midi. Many other activities such as golf, riding, sailing
are all easily accessible and fly fishing is possible on the river which runs
through the estate. It lies nestled in the vineyards between the villages of
Rieux Minervois and La Redorte (both 2km) 20km from the wonderful medieval city
of Carcassonne and its airport. Toulouse, Perpignan, Montpellier and Nimes all
have airports and car rental facilities within striking distance. The Minervois
and Corbieres regions are renowned for their wines and are well worth exploring.
The river is stocked with trout and may be fished. There are local stables and
boats may be hired.

beds, 1 cot. Entertainment: audio tape player, CD, radio, satellite or cable,
stereo system, TV, video player. Outside: balcony, barbecue, garage, garden,
parking, swimming pool, tennis court, terrace. Local Activities: cycling,
fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, sailing, swimming, tennis,
walking, wind-surfing, Both the Pyrenees and the Montagnes Noires are within a
couple of hours offering climbing, rafting and skiing.
Notes: The house has a large, tiled entrance hall off which are the three
main reception rooms; the library, dining room and the salon (all of generous
proportions). The kitchen is quite spectacular being over 100msq with a large
range, a huge open chimney for log fires and spit roasting, seating for 12-14
and all the usual appliances. From the hall a grand sweeping, marble staircase
leads up to the 5 double bedrooms (3 en suite). Through the games room, with a
table tennis table, there is internal access to the tower with its own kitchen,
terrace and small garden. The swimming pool area comprises shower, WC, bar and
barbecue. There is also a petanque court so you can take on the locals!
Spain: It is possible to drive to Barcelona for dinner being only 2 hours
away! The border, of course, is even closer. Andorra can be visited on a day
trip and with it the benefits of tax free shopping.
Golf Information: There is a wonderful golf course in Carcassonne with
stunning views and beautifully manicured greens. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are
available for hire. There are several other courses within easy driving
distance.
Skiing Information: Skiing in the Pyrenees has been very popular this
winter and several resorts are accessible from Carcassonne. All resorts offer
rental facilities.
