beautiful Lot countryside and surrounding vineyards. The large sun terrace has
an 11m x 5m heated swimming pool (warm from May until well into October) and
lovely views over a wooded valley and the hills beyond. There is a
professionally installed all weather tennis court and a small, well equipped gym
in the basement. There is also a helipad. The house has many original features,
combining tradition with comfort and convenience to provide a luxurious holiday
retreat. The house is spacious and airy allowing for families and friends to
enjoy all the amenities together and yet also find quiet areas to retreat in
relaxation and comfort. The main salon with its large open fireplace leads out
onto a large covered terrace with stunning views over the Lot countryside and is
lovely for drinks and outdoor dining. Satellite TV and video and a discreet bar
area at opposite ends of the long main salon ensure that adults and children
happily co-exist even when swimming, sports and games have finished for the day!

Swimming, pool volley ball, tennis, mountain biking, boules and exercising in
the gym are all available on-site and the gardens and woodlands provide for
lovely walks and picnics without ever having to leave the property! However the
local area is well sign-posted for both mountain bikes and bridle-ways and the
nearby village of Sauzet is well known for horse riding. The river Lot which
meanders from Luzech (8kms) towards Cahors offers canoeing and boating with
small craft for hire and river cruises.
Relaxation:
The large terrace and swimming pool (average summer temperature 28 degrees C)
provides the perfect venue for relaxing in the sun and enjoying the local wines
or a cool gin and tonic! Wine tasting is a popular pastime in the Lot and the
nearby Chateaux owners and vignoblers are always delighted to describe their
unique art of winemaking while sampling their latest vintages. The region boasts
delicacies such as fois gras, truffles, cepes, prunes and walnuts which feature
in the cuisine of the many restaurants, from Michelin star quality to family
Bistros.
Location:
The property lies between the pretty villages of Sauzet and Luzech, some 25kms
west of the medieval town of Cahors. It is within easy driving distance of both
Toulouse and Bordeaux.
