Interesting Information
- The Dordogne is famous for its history, beautiful countryside, hot summers, foie gras and of course France’s renowned wine region. It is also noted for its great rivers, the Dordogne, the Lot and the Averyon, all of which drain the waters of the western Massif Central into the mighty Garonne. There are no great cities in the area, its real charm lies in the landscapes and the dozens of harmonious small towns and villages. The Chateau acts as a great starting point for exploring the surrounding towns of Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud, Domme and Les Eyzies. Caves can be found on the grounds of the property by following the hiking path through the meadows and forest. Sarlat (8km away) is internationally renowned for its caves, paintings and well-preserved medieval architecture. It also has all the necessary shops, bars & restaurants.

Getting There
