The château
comprises of 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 shower room, 2 washrooms and can
accommodate 12 persons. Possibility to add an extra room for 2 children. From a
large gravelled terrace a door opens to the magnificent hall where antique
furniture surrounds a monumental fireplace. The walls of this room are clad with
ancient tapestries and fine works of art which have been accumulated over the
centuries. The formal dining room has beautiful period murals on its panelled
walls. A remarkable stained glass window dominates the imposing stone staircase
which leads to a minstrel gallery. The principal bedroom has a four posted bed
and a large en suite bathroom, and most of the other bedrooms also have period
furnishings and ornate canopy beds. To the side of the property, a facade of
arches remains of what was once a beautiful orangery and forms a romantic
backdrop to the swimming pool which has the benefit of sun all day long. Time
moves slowly in a grand Château such as this and although the amenities within
the accommodation have been brought up to date, there still remains a powerful
ambiance of the way life must have been for the French aristocracy.
