The House:
Situated in the heart of Provençe, this is a superbly restored farmhouse
with breathtaking views across the vines and hills of the Var countryside. It is
hidden away on part of an 11th century Château vineyard estate, amongst 350
hectares of vines that produce some of Provence's finest wines and surrounded by
an amazing peace and beauty. This is a farmhouse in the pure Provençal
tradition, recently renovated with style and flare using some of the finest
artisans in our region, such as the bathrooms and a kitchen created by Alain
Vagh one of the most celebrated ceramicists of Salernes. The walls of the dining
room and stairway use the natural rock that the house is built against as
decoration. The furniture throughout the house has been carefully chosen for
both comfort and originality. The house is a delightful home, both convivial and
welcoming whether with your family or a group of friends. All four bedrooms are
large and spacious with double beds, have their own bathrooms and dressing rooms
with lovely views across the vines. Two of the bedrooms may sleep an extra
child. The kitchen is fully equipped with very modern facilities. Having been
designed to offer the most of our climate, you can enjoy being outside either in
the shade or in the sun with a barbecue and dining facilities of the highest
quality. There are sun loungers and parasols for you to relax by the pool or in
your own Jacuzzi. The living room is a large and convivial room that has a
wonderful stone fireplace, two big sofas in an L shape, plantation chairs, a
coffee table, television and hi-fi. This leads through an archway to the dining
room, which has a dining table seating eight people. The back wall of the dining
room is carved into the rock of the hillside and room has large windows opening
out onto the terrace, providing both an incredible brightness to the interior
and sense of openness. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, halogen
stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer with ice cube maker and a dining table and
chairs. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer,
and a vacuum cleaner. All the bedrooms have wonderful views across the vines.
There are two master bedrooms upstairs with double beds and private bathrooms
and dressing rooms designed by Alain Vagh on separate level, only accessible
from each bedroom. The third double bedroom has a dressing room and private
bathroom and its own entrance. An extra children's bed can be arranged on
request. The fourth bedroom, in a separate part of the house, has a double bed,
dressing room and private bathroom and opens onto the terrace. All sheets,
towels and bathrobes are provided.
