Description
The Manoir is a 15th
century Breton manor house located in the historic and beautiful Tregor area of
Northern Brittany and recently filmed for CH4 TV's new series of "A Place in the
Sun". It is only 20 mins drive from the stunning Rose Granite coast and fishing
harbours and just 5 mins from the historic little town of Pontrieux. The ports
of St Malo and Roscoff are 90 and 45 mins drive away.
Accommodation
The Manor
This 15th Century Breton manoir set in 5 acres of walled grounds is steeped in
history with arched stone doorways, huge chestnut beams and towers. There are
hairdryers in each bedroom and French TV in three.
Ground Floor:

fridge/freezer, double oven gas cooker (table seats 8)

Outside
Heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool with large timber decked barbecue area,
tables and chairs. There is a boules court, garden, games room with table
tennis, table football, exercise machine, ping-pong and games. There is also a
swing, slide and bicycles. A tennis court is available together with rackets and
balls.
Local Area
There are many varied interests and activities at the doorsteps of the Manoir.
In the immediate area there are the lovely walks via a lake through a nature
reserve. Within a short drive are the medieval towns of Treguier, Pontrieux and
Lannion. All have a host of exhibitions and attractions during the summer.
Take a steam train ride along the beautiful river estuary from Paimpol to
Pontrieux and enjoy Breton cider, crepes and music on the way. Of course there
are the wonderful beaches and scenery just a short drive away. Here you will
find fascinating rocky bays and large sandy beaches surrounded by a turquoise
sea.
There is a 9 hole golf course nearby and driving range where clubs can be hired.
