between 1680 and 1720, set in its own grounds of 50 acres including landscaped
gardens and a wood. The grounds have several beautiful buildings including a

km from Honfleur and 22km from Deauville. The chateau has been restored to the

market towns of Pont L'Eveque (famous for its cheese) and Pont Audemer. The
extremely picturesque medieval port of Honfleur is less than 15minutes away by
car, whilst Deauville with its international shops, great beaches and casino is
only 20 minutes away. The landing beaches are just over 30 minutes away, whilst
Monet's garden in Giverny is just over 1 hour away.
Accommodation
Large marble floored entrance hall that runs from the front to the back of the
house opening onto a large stone terrace which overlooks the fountains
dominating the back garden. Grand salon: an oak panelled formal room with 3
large sofas and which looks out over both the front and back gardens
Petit salon: small formal room with ornate panelling and a sofa and chairs. It
has doors opening out onto the terrace. Dining room: a beautiful formal room
with a decorative Italian marble floor and ornate wood panelling. The table will
accommodate up to 14 people. Lavatory and cloakroom.
Garden Floor: Fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, large refrigerator
and dishwasher. Extremely large family room that has flexible usage and contains
two groups of two large sofas, plus a dining table that seats 10. There is also
a stereo/CD Player and television, marble floor and oak panelling throughout,
plus an enormous working fireplace with the arms of the chateau engraved over
the mantle piece. French windows run along the entire south wall which give
access directly to the gardens at the back. Large utility room with washing
machine, dryer, located in segregated area. Lavatory.
First Floor: The rooms have ornate wood panelling and parquet floors whilst the
bathrooms have marble floors and walls. Marble corridor that runs the length of
the chateau. Bedroom 1: Beautiful panelled room with a double bed (1.40m) plus
en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2: Beautiful panelled room with a double bed (1.80m)
plus en-suite bathroom. Master Suite: This consists of a sitting room, a bedroom
with a double bed (1.80m) and an en-suite bathroom.
Top Floor: Oak block floor throughout. All bedrooms have good views of the back
garden and valley beyond. 3 bathrooms in total (one bathroom per two bedrooms).

Single bedroom. The two bedroom floors have doors that can be used to divide the
accommodation into 3 distinct areas which may suit usage by several
families/groups by increasing privacy.
In front of the chateau is a formal entrance drive (half a mile long) which has
lawns on either side, flanked by mature trees. The grounds are landscaped and
have substantial flower beds full of hydrangeas and hundreds of roses. The back
garden is formal with fountains in the centre a consecrated chapel and another
pavilion forming its boundaries. At the east border of the main garden you will
find a formal walled Italian garden, with statues and several "outside rooms",
whilst on the other side there is an orchard. The gardens are surrounded by
fields and woods which also form part of the grounds ensuring complete
seclusion. A path enters the woods from the orchard and leads down to a small
spring and a stream.
Activities
- The region is a rural one consisting of fine scenery and unspoilt
countryside. The area is is world renowned for its gastronomy - including cheese
and Calvados.
- There are three excellent golf courses within 15 minutes of Deauville,
whilst the stunning golf course of Champ de Bataille is 50 km away.
- For day to day needs, Chateau du Mont is only 3km from the busy village
of Beuzeville with a good variety of shops and several restaurants.
Travel
International access is excellent as the ferry ports of Le Havre and Caen are
close, whilst having good motorway links to Paris (1.5 hours) and Calais (2.5
hours).
Local Area
The Domain is located in Haut Normandie in the department of l'Eure. It is 10
minutes from Honfleur and 20 minutes from Deauville. The region is a rural one
and the Parc nationale de boucles de seine is only 5 minutes away by car. [Map
